The CB Pontoon's wondrous things, you can lock them together to build just about anything you want on the water even a floating island. They were developed during WWII.
You know what CB stands for right? Confused Bast4r3's don't know if we are Navy or Marines. Can't speak for the CB's now but in the 70's we hung-out with the Marines, not the fleet. Not because we didn't like the fleet sailors or anything like that, we just had more in common with the Marines.

We didn't like the fleet sailors. Neither did the
seabee's on the ship with us. 2am lights come on and we would hear "sweepers, sweepers man your brooms, sweep all decks for and aft........................ oh! sorry! Lights go off. After it happens 4 or 5 times you become pretty sure its not an accident. We also listened to the same 4 songs piped into our berthing area for a week. I still hate those songs. Petty stuff but....
