A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Another BDL opinion

Busy with the Grandsons, I just got to this thread.

As I have done so previously myself, I was glad to see all these plugs for Brian's business. Having been the beneficiary of Brian's integrity and vast store of knowledge of most things Enfield, I couldn't help but notice, that so far anyway, Brian's Boosters, (does sound like a fan club, doesn't it?), have failed to mention what I consider one of the most valuable attributes of his operation.

Brian has the peculiar, but, very welcome habit, of coming up with some rather rare odds and ends. Thanks to him, I was able to complete the C.E.S. of an L42A1 when he found a couple of the rarest bits to plug the holes in the transit chest. From Brian, courtesy of Peter's sterling craftsmanship, I acquired an excellent set of leather lens covers for the scope of an Australianicon-issue P-'14 sniper, and, even more surprisingly, Brian actually managed to locate an original, fine-adjustment rear sight to complete this wonderful, old, historic, Burma Campaign veteran, (the rifle, not Peter!).

There is much more to BDLicon than just great rifles and educational literature, so, if you are looking for a particularly hard to find item, give Brian a call, as he just might be able to turn something up.

Thanks again for the all various Enfield bits Brian. As I always, I enjoyed your enlightening conversation in Phoenix last month.

    Best regards,

    Terry
