Vert cool
Tritium front sight? Now that's practical. Work well at short range even w/o tritium rear dots, but it's better with a big peep. Best w/ a big peep w TINY dots. So what rear sight mods do you have, Stevo?
Yes, it's tritium, a new product from NEA. My rear sight is unmodified. I'll probably get the NEA tritium rear when it comes out but my iron sights are just back-up to my RDS.
I replaced the Aimpoint on my CSA Carbine with another Bushnell TRS-25 so I can co-witness. It gives a bottom 1/3 if you want to line them up.

No problems w/ parallax for this unit? It seems that's common problem with some reddots. (When the dot is off center in the field of view it affects POI.) The old Tasco Pro Points were good in this respect, but their Accudot, Accupoint, something(?) was terrible.
Currently all I have are Aimpoints, EoTechs, Propoints and an ADCO (which is really good for the price.)
I shoot from contact distance to 300m with these sights and I hit what I'm aiming at. I suppose they could have some parallax issues but I've never noticed anything significant.
Hey Stevo, did you get the front sight from a Canadiandealer? I can only find regular fiber optic options. I finally got out to the range last week to test my new rifle, and it is solid. Now I am trying to control myself and not buy every accessory I see, however I just use iron sights and a new front sight post is mighty tempting.
Yes, I did, and they sold out very quickly. I read a post on CGN that Target Sports, Neit Arms and One Shot Tactical would be getting more of them this next week.
In all honesty, a NEA rail and a red dot are a much bigger improvement than a tritium front sight. If you haven't shot one set up that way, see if you can find one at your range to try out.
All the bells and whistles are cool, but they don't necessarily make a real big difference unless you're competing or taking classes with the rifle.
IMO, the top 5 "usefullest" (it's a word, 'cause I just used it) mods are:
1) NEA handguard rail and red dot sight
2) NEA ambi safety selector
3) extended mag release
4) left hand charging handle
5) Neit Arms bolt release
It is always handy to know the "usefullest" accessories. Thanks for the help, I appreciate the advice from someone who is experienced with the platform. Unfortunately where I am, I only know of two others, neither have been modified. I don't compete or anything, I just like things to be the best they can. May have to wait a while before the red dot though/handguard though, the rifle and a case of ammo have mostly drained my firearms fund for a while.
This post reminded me about the most important accessory: ammo. I've got a good stock so it slips my mind quite easily.
If you can't shoot it, it's just a stick. If you've got lots of ammo, you can shoot it enough to get good with it. With the Czechsurplus we don't know when it will run out so buy as much as you can afford. I still have 8mm Mauser I bought when I was in high-school it the mid-'80's (God, I'm getting old). Buy it cheap and stack it deep!
