Unfortunately, BATFE Imports Branch won't approve the L96A1 for import to the USA because it's not a curio and relic. Military firearms can only be approved for civilian use if they're on the U.S. C&R list. Maybe they'll approve them as C&R's in another 25 years since they have to be 50 years old.

If they are ever surplus to requirements, they will be destroyed by mutilation, as per the various international agreements on this subject.

But it ain't an L96 - and never will be! It's like having a 2005 VW Beetle when you really want the real McCoy.......... a 1969 VW Beetle. Just my opinion of course!
