Well, the slap is gone but what was causing it could be a few things. While I had the gun apart I polished the bolt carrier rails,bolt rails,trigger group an hammer and polished the locking lugs. Replaced the recoil spring with the Wolf extra power and installed a buffer.The action was a lot smoother and less noisy an was noticeably less "violent" not to say recoil.
The gas system checked out,the gas block itself is vented and the hole to the barrel didn't look enlarged Oh, but it is canted.!!!
. Another issue I found was the receiver was bent like a V with the wide part at the rear. What this was doing was forcing the gas piston to rub the rear sight base because there was too much slop between the carrier an rails. Quick turn in the good ol' vise to tighten that up.
So, to sum things up don't buy a century arms Wasr 10/63 unless you don't mind fiddling around with crap AK47 variants...
