dont use tung oil, BLOicon is mo' better correct and has that great vintage smell. an SC S-Stock can be identified by the shape of the end of the handguard spring groove. If it is square (right angles) it is RA, if it is radiused, it is SC,,,Its late and I may have gotten that bassasswards, but I think its right. SC parts were often not marked at all, but there are other unique SC specific characteristics for almost every SC part.
Ya really need to include some pics. BTW, S-Stocks were the primary and most common stock type during WWII. C or Scant stocks can late and more often than not were mounted post-war despite the fact that the C Stock was the "specified" type even before the war...supply and cost were the reasons S Stocks were more common, but therefore more correct, even for wartime re=arsenalled rifles. I used to shun S Stocks as C Stocks were "cooler", but now I go for historical correct configurations and have learned to love the S Stocks if correct for the SN.

I have taken some photos and will try to post today. I also have an Yugoicon SKS that I will be posting. Outfitted with a red dot scope for hot hunting.
