Got the left side of the buttsocket under the light just right, and I'm 98% sure the word above the 1910 is 'ConD'.

    Dry whats Dry!

Gads that is ugly wood, the draws seem a tad tired and the pit in the barrel would make it rather circumspect on ignition, seriously it has had a chequered life by all appearances and been around the world thrice just hope you have enough RLO to bring the stock back as bloke it looks really really dry good luck with the project it will definitely watch this space.
Does it have a bore or is it worn out so much it is a smooth bore.
Hey that reminds me of an Elmer Keith story of paper patching................. good luck Anzac15

Are you going to make a project of it or move it on, be interesting to see how it scrubs up but firing the thing may not be on the menu.

I'm going to keep it the way it is. BLOicon actually helped it out a ton.
Havent made up my mind about firing it. Want to research it a bit more.

If you ever were to fire the thing I would use a mild load tie it to a tree and remote fire with a piece of stout cord, just in case it grenades.........8(
