The RFD said that it has been Proofed (pretty important for a miss-match). I don't see any Proof markUnless those marks on the muzzle are part of them.

If you remove the middle band, you will be able to lift off the rear handguard, and read what is stamped on the breech of the barrel.

It's a language problem betwen us here in England and those wild Colonials in the Americas! We in the UK military call the band nearest the foresight the BAND, upper. The middle one we call the BAND, lower!

You just need to undo the lower band. And if it's smothered in grease under the woodwork then for heavens sake LEAVE IT THERE. It's there for a very good reason!

Yes, we Colonials dishourably belaboured the slaughter of the Shakespearian tongue, changing spellings and meanings. We call the muzzle end (nose) the "front" of a rifle, and the butt (anal sphincter) the "rear" because that where they belong on the animal species. And we think that a "scheme" is an insidious plan by an evil conniver, and cannot engage in "secondment" (cross pollination across organizations) because the brilliant Webster decided to leave the word out of the American dictionary.

Imaging the poor plight of our neighbors in the Dominion of Canada -- caught in the cross fire between the Queens English, Quebec French, and street-sloppy American English. It's amazing the Commonwealth still tolerates us. Maybe having stepped into breech in WW I & II has kept America in the Commonwealth's good graces. And I suppose the fact that we love Enfields is our most endearing quality.
