On a lighter note,
My wife just returned from a week visit out to our Daughters in Virginia.
Daughter has a cat that has a liking to the plastic caps that cover the bolts that hold the toilet down.
Wife said she'd hear that cat knocking those caps all around the condo in the middle of the night.
Never to be found again. Daughter now too embarrassed to use the same hardware store for replacements, so she's found another supplier.
Before leaving the Wife spent sometime with the Grandson trying to straighten out his big toy box. While doing so the Wife seen the cats stash of caps inside the carpeted cat scratch pole tower. Like a towering birdhouse for a cat. Perch on top and a enclosed area that was stuffed full of the cover caps.
Like a Pack Rat, she found 9 caps and 4 bic pen tops in there. Has to be the cat, the Grandson can't reach that high.

1-People that chain dogs should never be trusted.
2-People that socialize their dogs and interact with them will have a friend for life.
3-Dogs that are brought up as part of the family will be loyal and protect their family.

If you give your pet lots of love and respect as you should then you will have a friend for life, Biscuits is constantly trying to get under our skin to be close and whilst typical of his breed his is a little OTT but we just think its from his poor start to life and put up with it as part of his personality.
Like today just to show how good he was he made a flying leap to be on our bed with us mic-calculated came in too low connected chest first into it and came A over T onto the deck but carried himself out of our bedroom like I am the most clever cat!

Those that make their dogs savage well when they kill their child or another persons child which has happened then they should go to jail for life as willful murder as thats what they have trained their dog for a good watch dog will let you in but not out as you wont hear them until you try to leave thats when the fangs and voice come out.

Forty years ago I looked out my front door to see a man beating a dog. It was the middle of February but I was out the door in my underwear. He saw me coming and took off in his car and the dog ran away across a schoolground. I found her the next day shivering under a tire rack at a local garage. She was skin and bones and covered with cigarette burns. My heart went out to her and she became the most loyal companion to my two daughters for the next 18 years. Perhaps the prick was trying to turn Queenie into a watchdog but that Doberman never had a mean bone in her body. If you raise your children and pets with love, compassion and empathy the world would be a much better place.

Sorry to take this from a bit of fun into this direction but problem pets and children are just how they are raised,

We had a Doberman who weighed 40 kilos I am over 6' and he could put his paws on my shoulder & almost look me in the eye, would lick you to death sadly he was intolerant to any other dog so we had to take extra precautions when taking him out usually on a very lonely bush track or deserted beach and run him hard freely along side my 4 x 4.
The only thing we found he was excellent at finding and killing the bobtail goanna even down the beach he would find them and bring them back to me not a good thing if the Ranger rocked up and my woofen barker is standing there pleased as chips with a dead protected species of goanna in his chops! Got a few good stories of his adventures perhaps one day as a share he is now in the clouds chasing bobtails up there.............

Agree with E animals usually adopt their owners personality now I know why all the animals we have had & have are always clumsy & have unusual habits I mean who ever heard of a clumsy cat all of our cats we have had were/are clumsy I blame my wifes aura affecting them turning them goofy...........yikes now I know whats the prob with me!

I’m in the same camp as Mr. E Moose. Your dog is always happy to see you. Some breeds get a bad rap for aggressiveness. I feel that is a trained response not an inherited behavior.

Maybe not to my personal liking but I have friends with Pitbull’s. They love their kids and stand between them and others as a barrier. But they do not seem to get along well with other animals. Not to a fighting state, but always watchful and cautious.

Larger dogs don’t always know they are big, some are just clumsy. One of our Bull Mastiffs who always come running to greet my wife, then gets a look in her eye, uh oh, how do I stop. At 130 pounds she would bowl my wife over. My wife quickly learned to side step. These guys are gentle giants. The males are 165 pound lap dogs and during football games they want their treats when I have mine.

I believe if you want animals they should be a member of your family, and treated as such. Brought up well, good food, medical care, love and interaction with the family.

My wife, 110 pounds wet, our 165 pound bullmastiff Mack. That's a 16" cloth dog bone.
