Well... about to leave the Holy Land again.
All quiet, a bit more life on the streets and the usual kids in uniform going to and fro their units, still surprisingly "normal".
I have another guy with me, from another company. He kept freaking out at any loud noise in the first 24 hours here, until convinced that it was not the case.
Yesterday we had lunch in Ramla. Two Christian schools full of Israeli Arab pupils and a church side-by-side with a mosque. Christian and Muslim Israeli Arabs and Jewish Israeli all together at the restaurant, run by an Israeli Christian family. Friends with everybody.
Not what you see in the news.
I know it, but my "colleague" is still completely flabbergasted.
Traveling on your own helps!
Next time, I'll go see Makhtesh Ramon. No time on this trip.

The boot lickers in the most of press aren't there to report the news, they are there to regurgitate the Left's talking points. The Druze Arabs that populate much of Northern Israel and the Golan Heights are happy, content, and prosperous. The Israeli government respects their religion and even goes so far as to guarantee an appropriate number of seats in the Knesset. Compare that as to how other religions and lifestyles are treated in some of the other Arab countries, yet Israel is the bad guy? The world has gone insane.

Only 1 hour? You got off easy. When I drove my U.N. marked vehicle from Aqaba into Eilat they kept me in a waiting room for 3 1/2 hours while they disassembled my vehicle. I got to hand it to them, it ran better after I got it back! LOL!

We only had underwear, a cellphone and a pc each. Guess that, making the correct proportions, one hour was enough
