Boer War Era: A British stores MLE Mk I* rifle that was returned to Canada as replacement for a damaged Canadian MLE Mk I and M&D marked.

Pre-WWI: A Sparkbrook converted SMLE ConD II that was originally a Sparkbrook MLM Mk II*

WWI: any WWI SMLE sniper

Between the wars: An Irish contract No.3 Mk I*T with matching case

WWII: A 1941 or 1942 BSA converted by H&H and fitted with a Vickers Mk I No. 32 scope, complete with matching can and chest.

Post-WWII: A L42A1 converted from a Maltby, LongBranch, Enfield, or Savage No. 4 T in any year but 1971, complete with kit of course.

Currently the two Long Branches with my name on them at BDL awaiting paperwork to be shipped In the dream world I would like a nice No4(T) with scope and case, a C No7 with case (I might be able to get one of these this fall w/o case if I'm lucky) and an L8 while I'm dreaming. Oh I suppose I would also have to add a Lee Speed pattern#1

Hi friends,
As I spent a good many years in the RCAF and because the first rifle I fired in the service was a No 4 LeeEnfield. I had looked for years to find one in good shape and stamped RCAF. Last year I found one in SW On. and it is the ultimate Lee for me. Just to think I could have carried this rifle as early as 1949.

These are some fantastic replies so far people! The truly wonderful thing about collecting Lee Enfields is the amazing number of variations. It’s also interesting how Enfields of local manufacture are more highly prized than similar rifles made offshore. For example Rifles made at Long Branch sell for a premium here in Canada but a Savage No.4 sells for a greater price in the US and a Lithgow sells well in Australia.

Hi,I would really like to find a SMLE MKI in nice condition,also a longbranch with a horizontal laminated stock.

I guess my holy grail would be a long branch sniper with the C67 scope and sporter butt stock.I think it is the most eye pleasing enfield of them all.I would trade my L-42 in a heartbeat!

I'd like a Walnut No. I Mk. III* and a light Beech No. 4 in .22lr, with 10 round mags, with sights set for 25 yard intervals. I'd also like the above rifles in .223 and 7.62x39 with sights set at 100 yard intervals. They'd have to take bayonets too. While we're at it, make them cheap.
