Just a correction to the spread sheet, I own A0350 and have for about 25 years, it's a non-sniper.

There is A0507 credited to 'eleanori' which is myuser name over at Gunboards. I do not own that rifle or ever have.

Cal. 303. S# A0831. Bbl. 25 1/4". Enfield marked with large crown King George proof mark on left side of receiver band above triggerguard. Also fitted with a Parker Hale peep sight, and 1931 mag. cutoff. Consignors tag indicates this was a Trials rifle which won the King's prize. British proof marks in evidence on receiver marked "ENFIELD / 31 / No 4 MK I" above S#. Stock marked with "13" regiment proof mark as well a broad arrow proof. Stock matches S#. Brass mounted leather sling attached. MAGS: 1 orig. 10 rd. box blued steel. CONDITION: extremely fine to near excellent refinished matte blued finish with some barely noticeable pitting underneath the blue on left side of receiver with some very small areas of scuffing on mag. revealing bare metal & some tiny areas of brown patina. Stock has been sanded & refinished with a longitudinal 1 1/2" long crack on left side from the receiver band toward the muzzle. Middle sling screw has been damaged by improper screwdriver use. Bolt is mostly in the white except for the right side exterior of the locking bar and the bolt handle itself. Buttplate has been polished to the white with British proof mark & broad arrow visible at heel. Rifled bore is good to very good with some slight darkness starting in the grooves. (15-3274/JWK). CURIO. Price realized $3172.50 USD

This is one of the Model C trials rifles prepared in 1935. Notice the sling swivel loop on the trigger guard, aluminum buttplate and relief cut for the rear sight to the standard No4 depth to allow the use of the backsight plunger, rather than the detent ball found on other trials rifles.

Pity about the Central sight base screw hole through the butt socket.

Hi. Not much written about the C Pattern rifles. Was it part of the ‘pattern’ then to have a sling swivel on the trigger guard?

That is my understanding yes. I believe IDS mentioned that feature in The British Service Lee, and all examples I can recall had at least the lugs on the guard for the swivel.

Citizen Bubba strikes again. The pads now lying in some forgotten drawer or thrown out with the rest of his "junk" when Bubba went to the great Goodwill Industries in the sky!

Thought i would share some photos of A1515 which is in excellent condition and all original apart from the stock which has replaced the original one due i think to the fact that this SMLE is a long butt
