Me too! Happy it turned out to be a fun thread with lots of interesting uncommon toy shooting guns.

Never without our trusty Wrist Rocket sling shots when I was young and still own to this day.
Good hard crab apples left a hearty lump. Nice round river pebbles for serious work.
Easily concealed by wrapping it around your hip and under your T shirt.
Many uses including shooting 1oz lead sinker tied to a braided fishing line to get it over a tall branch, hooked to a heavier rope you could then pull up and over.

Often fish with one. In those confined can't cast far enough spots because of low branches etc, we shoot our lures or baited lines out.
When young and in trouble our (Brother and I) sling shots were set on top of the fridge.... not to be touched, until we served our time.
Even though you knew you'd be in trouble.... the lure of a good hearty belly laugh often out weighs your better judgement.
Meaning doing the 'Time' was worth it. Like shooting holes in kites until they couldn't fly. With the unknowing kite flyer trying to figure out what they were doing wrong.......... as we hid out of sight.

Sling Shots are a "prohibited weapon" here in The Peoples Republic of New Jersey..... Boy!, that makes me feel safe!..

Same here in O.Z but the loop hole is calling them "Bait casters" as kids we used to make a cheap mans version from thin strips of car inner tube some twine and leather you could either have a forked stick or just use the tube with the occasional hitting of your aiming hand by the rubber straps if you did not roll your front hand down when releasing the pouch.
Or the "David & Goliath" sling shots but more often than not the rock or kundee (Kun-dee Aussie slang for rock) went in an unintended direction or you wrapped it around your hand forgetting to let go of the outside string.

Did you ever see the "Gat Gun" in the States? It is/was a really low end and cheap air pistol that was made in the U.K. and was very affordable. You had to push the barrel in to cock it and remove an end plug to load it.

Me too. Did you ever "fire" corks with your's. For anyone who doesn't know the Gat Gun is an air pistol that is also capable of firing wine bottle corks from a receptacle on the end of it's muzzle. I never have tried firing corks or not yet.

Only pellets. Mine is the rifle model.
