Have a arisaka type 99. It was 30 years ago since I last fired it. I had removed the bolt when stored, now I can't seem to figure out how to put it back in.

Looking for Info on Finishing a new CMP Stock for a 1903A3

I have been reading your forum for a while now, an I have been trying to refit a Remington 1903A3 barreled action.

I bought a new C type stock from CMPicon and want to seal the wood and was wondering what I should use to keep it close to GI issue?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I found this site by way of SnipersHide when I became interested in the M1903 rifles. Hope to learn much from all the knowledge and experience on this site.

    New member to Milsurps

Hello to all. I have checked on Milsurps.com for information and study for some time. It is time for me to get off of the side line and jump in. I remember a time when you could walk into The Traders Gun Store in San Leandro Ca. and find barrels full of Military Surplus weapons for sale about $50 to $70 dollars. That was some time ago and I was too young to walk out with one. Now I'm retired and I have owned and sold allot of milsurps in my time.
    Still looking and still learning.

    New Member

    New member from NE Wyoming.

I'm retired from the Anchorage Police Dept and the Alaska National Guard. Most of my career in the National Guard was a Member, later Coach and OIC of the Alaska National Guard Marksmanship Unit.

Was heavy into High Power Rifle (and some pistol) but after getting my distinguished rifle badge and retiring, I've drifted more to Vintage Military Rifles, more into shooting then collecting.

I'm a CMPicon GSM Master Instructor.

When in the guard I was a Sniper Instructor, using the M1C/D later the M21.

I've also gotten into collecting vintage military equipment, mostly American.

Also into bayonets for my Vintage Rifles.

I still shoot competition now but only for fun now days. Win or loose I shoot against my last scores. I'm not real competitive any more.

I've been known to show up with to a Multi Gun match with a Carbine and 1911a1 or a Mosin and Nagant revolver.
