New 1903A3 Shooter
Just took delivery of a Remington 1903A3 from CMP. Anxious to get some shooting in, but just as anxious to learn more about this great rifle. My dad cut his teeth on these rifles in the mid-30s as a fifteen year old National Guardsman, and carried one in France and Belgium.
This forum appears to be the right place to start to learn more.
There are a series of interesting markings and cartouches on the rifle's scant wood stock that i'd like to learn more about for starters.
Anyway, glad to be here.

Greetings all,
As a newly minted M1 owner I've just started on my quest to discover exactly what I picked up at a local gun show recently. As an avid .22LR and AR's shooter, milsurps are a bit of a new area for me.
Other interests include sailing (hence the forum handle) and photography.

Milsurp nuebie
Hi guys,
Long time CMP customer, former Navy Helo pilot, retired Federal Officer. 3 M1s and 3 M44s (one with scope). Looking to get back to the range. I just joined Appleseed, and look forward to getting to the range more often.

Like to say hello
Looks like a very nice forum with a wealth of information. First let me say I am USAF Ret and collect Savage 99 rifles. Am an avid Bowhunter and just a smidge over 60 years old. Retired back in 1989 and did a little guiding after that. Now I am officially retired but still hunt year round for Hogs as well as my annual month long archery Elk hunt in Colorado. Tom.

hello everyone
hello, I'm new to this site and am looking for some advice. I am interested in purchase a deactivated No.1 mk.3 lee-enfield (1917) or an M91/30 Mosin nagant rifle, intendend for drill purposes, such as parades, and military affairs. I need any bolt/ semi auto action from ww1 or ww2 era, that is legal in Canada. So far i haven't found many sites that sell these to canadians, so i figured that one of you might be able to help me. thanks a lot guys

New member
Hello,
I'm a new member. My interest/hobbies have changed over time from mil weapons to mil radios. I plan to sell or trade a few M1 carbine attachments to come up with cash for the mil radio hobby. This looks to be a good place to search for a fare market value of what I have for sale so buyer and seller are both happy. After all thats what hobbys are about.
Thanks to all on the site.
