Hello. I'm very interested in military items, especially WWI. I recently purchased a photo from an antique dealer and while researching it on this site noticed the exact photo as discussed on a thread. It concerns a Canadien officer serving in India. Chuckchili had it. It was from St. Andrews N.B. and he had an interesting moustache and 2 medals, as well as elephants on the collar. Boer War? Did I purchase the exact same pix or are there multiple copies out there? Please let me know. Thank you.

    Hello From Sunny Florida

Hello, my name is Mike and I have an addiction to Milsurps. Please don't tell my wife, even though I think she has a suspicion.

I have been a registered user on this forum for awhile, just never posted. Got tired of seeing the message that told me that I had never posted, so here I am. I have enjoyed the site thus far and I look forward to enhancing my knowledge on milsurps.

    Mike

    Greetings from a new member

Just found this forum and might partake of some of the knowledge here if permitted. I am a carbine owner, my dad traded for one back in the 60's ( I think a 22 pistol). It is a winchester made late war and has adj. site and bayonet. I've looked at all the parts and stock, handguard, all internals are "w" stamped except the trigger which I think has some type of "I" stamp. Been a while since I looked. I think the gun is all original since we've had it for 40+ years. Serial number is late War from what I've seen. Can you all give me some idea of value for the rifle? I love to shoot the thing and am looking forward to reading more on this forum to glean more knowledge. Thanks

    Hello

Hi! Just joined forum. Currently own and shoot a Garand and SA M1Aicon, among other weapons. In addition to military arms, I am into motorcycles and old tractors. I am in my late 50's and only have a couple years left until I can retire and spend a LOT of time on my hobbies.
I was an avid reloader back in the 1990's got out of the hobby due to lack of time and other interests. I don't hunt, but enjoy kiling plastic bottles and targets. I am conservative and believe in gun rights and personal liberty.
I am encouraged to see a lot of folks coming back to our way of thinking the last few years re gun rights.
