A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. S-AM3, I'm not seeing it.

It looks like a hundred other "sporters" . In fact, it is very similar to one of my 1941's that I'm getting ready to send to Brian Dickicon to do a barrel swap. I'll check it over real well for the illusive PH stamp.

The poor 42 that is the barrel donor will be stuck in a plastic stock forevermore. Shudder.

Hi Limpetmine, Despite my comments about leaving it as is, the fact that it is a No4 Mk1 LB, I think you are doing the right thing and building it back to original!!, regardless whether it has PH markings.
Lets see a photo of it finished. Stuart.
