Lee-Enfield #4MkI drawings
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to build a 3-D model [in a CAD program called Solidworks] of the Lee-Enfield #4 MkI - as I used in my days in the Irish Army Reserve [FCÁ] - so I need fully detailed drawings, please.
I have already built a fully-detailed [and fairly accurate] model of my Mauser M96/38 - but this was done by careful measurement of my own rifle - and it's NOT the ideal way to do things! I'd be happy to share this model [or drawings made from it] with anyone from Milsurps who, like me, likes to add things like such as a Rear-Sight Adapter to hold a telescopic sight [without drilling and tapping my beautiful Classic Rifle!]. I use the model of the rifle to ensure a precise fit of newly made parts.
Thanks

Hello from Phoenix!
Hi folks. I'm a new '44 Lee Enfield NoMk1 "Longbranch" owner! Hoping to find any info on the subject. I am also a frequent reader/contributor to the forums: PerfectUnion.com, Scoutrifle.org, ArizonaFirearmsForum.com, and Enfield-Rifles.com.
I'm not a huge gun buff, but I love the few that I own:
- 2006 Ruger Mini-14 '580' Ranch Rifle .223/5.56
- Taurus Millenium Pro PT-145 .45APC
- 1944 LE No4 Mk1 "Longbranch" .303 Brit
- 1953 Ruger Standard .22 recently sold
- looking for a double-barreled shotgun (16ga preferred...Win Mod 24 my goal)
I prefer simple, rugged firearms that go BANG! everytime. Preferrably made of steel and wood, that won't break the bank. Any history or historical lineage is always an added bonus!
I look forward to learning from ya. Thanks for having me.
