Hi everyone, I am obviously new to this forum as I have only just become aware of its existence. I have interest in Lee-Enfield rifles and in the Boer wars. I have a small collection of Enfields. I have a No4 Mk1, No4 Mk1* sporterized, L39 A1, and pride of place an 1899 Mk1 Cavalry Carbine. I am looking to get Long Lee, No5 and SMLE (not necessarily in that order) to add to this. I look forward to expanding my knowledge through this forum.
Regards
Nick

Howdy - 'been reading the site for several years now, and guess I'd be a collector. Over the years, I've ended up with some odd-ball pieces and looking forward to utilizing the collective knowledge to figure out what's up with them. Take care and thanks.

Hello all. I was looking for some ammo suppliers for a .577 Enfield I've recently inherited and when I saw the amount of info and useful thread titles I had to take the time to register.
Great site and now for some reading...Cheers!

Greetings all!
I am Ron Woods from Texas, USA
and am delighted to be associated with this fine forum.
I adopt, collect, perform "historical restorations" to, and compete in regional Vintage Service Rifle matches with the American Model of 1917, Model 1903, and M1 Garand, Japanese Arisaka
Type 38 and Type 99, Enfields' Pattern 1914, No1 MkIII and No4 MkI & Mk2, German
k98 Mausers, and Russian
Model 1891/30 rifles.
Question for the forum:
Please advise the estimated production date for my latest "historical restoration" project; Pattern 1914 Eddystone Serial Number #29854 and DID NOT go through the Weedom procedures.
I am lacking only the (1) 2.22" dial sight pointer arm w/pointer bead and (2)pivot screw to complete this "Old Soldier." Any comments and suggestions on their availability are welcomed.
Kindest regards!
Ron

Good to find you guys
HI EVERYONE, I am new to the site, just found it while looking for some Garand M1
information. My name is Chad Ertola. I am born and raised and living in San Francisco, California, also get to the Sierra foothills alot to Mariposa.
My Dad had a collection of some old military rifles. They were like toys when i was a kid, but I was taught a healthy respect for them at an early age. I am fortunate to have inherited them. Eventually I may ask for some info on one or the other here. I don't know much, but they feel like old friends.
Lately I have gotten into the M1 Garand rifle. My Dad was very fond of the M1 Garand from his Army service in WWII. I was steered to the CMP
and Garand Collectors Association and now have a nice 1944 Winchester model. I will definitely be interested to learn more from all of you about the Garands, especially the Winchesters.
Thanks in advance, and I hope I don't step on any toes.
Chad
