Greetings Gentlemen, (and ladies if present). Name's bombdog, just back from 'the STAN' a few weeks. Been getting reaquainted with my best ladyfriend (alice), and my lovely bride lisa. alice is a 55 IH M1, lisa is a 5, err, better not go there. Been looking thru a lot of forums and getting loads of info on garands, M14
's-M1a's, 03's, and 17's. Been to an appleseed and looking for my next mission from The Father. Been down-range at least 6 times since 1980. i think they stuck the fork in me this round though. Route-clearance sux. Looking forward to lots of stimulating conversation. To all veterans on here, thank you for your service, to all the Vietnam vets, WELCOME HOME !!!

New Guy
Just a note to introduce myself.
Have been shooting and collecting for 45 years and turned my gun hobby 32 years ago into a small business. Went to gunsmith school in 1980 and have been fixing guns ever since.
At this stage in my life I need to sell off a lot of my excess stuff.

Hello all, I'm Josef from the US. My wife, Tiffiny, and I are avid gun enthusiasts and are always looking to meet new friends/contacts in the shooting world. While looking to prune our collection, I began inspecting one of the bolt action .30-06 rifles. I had to remove the scope mount to read the markings and determined it to be a M1917 Eddystone [May 1918 manufacture] and it has been sporterized. [I'll start a thread once I have pictures to post] It was one of my late father-in-law's rifles that hasnt moved since 2006. A quick search on the web led me here and i quickly joined because of the mass of good information.

Hello all, Being an old GI who fondly remembers things like the M1
Garand, M3 Sub-machine gun and especially the 1911A1 Colt, and not so fondly spending the night on the ground covered by snow in Germany
, I am looking forward to reading about what some of you know about the arms of our US Military.
