Greetings all. Been lurking for awhile and have learned something from every visit. Your Knowledge Library
is excellent.
I've always been fond of old battle rifles, but the bug really bit me when I acquired a SMLE No. 1 Mk. III and spent many hours researching it and cleaning every last little piece and making it happy again.
Since then I seem to be attracted to old rifles, which I know little to nothing about, and will be researching and posting questions as I try to prevent them from becoming piles of rust. Thanks in advance for your patience and willingness to share whatever you know.

new to forum
Hi, Found this forum because I recently acquired a 1918 LF & C (US Mark One) Trench knife with the original sheath and I would like to know the value of it before I sell it. Thanks! John

Newbie needs help with friend's bayonet!
A co-worker who doesn't have access to the internet asked me to post a Australian
bayonet. After reading some of the comments on this site, I'm concerned about possibly posting a counterfeit. Don't want to do that! I have photos and know the markings. It reads almost identically to the one listed on the boards as a fake - the P1907 Hooked Quillon bayonet with scabbard. How should I proceed? Much thanks for any help provided!
