And BTW, COunty Line is my Favorite LGS. I have bought powder and Once Fired Cases there so far. They seem to have more of the powders I use in stock than even Cabela's most of the time.

Yes, I live on Terra Lane close to the front gate. Moved here when I retired from the Army. The Bald Hills used to be my stomping grounds before I went in the service. Most of my high school class used to drive the 6th Avenue strip for fun but my friends and I used to patrol the trails and logging roads of the Bald Hills and Porcupine Ridge, fully camoed and armed (Yeah, I had OD blood even at that young age).
Are you moving to the Ocean Park on the Long Beach Peninsula? Hard to believe that you could find an apartment for that cheap in middle of tourist land. I do understand the need to smell fresh salt air after so many years at sea. Clearwood only smells of wet mold, mildew and moss.

About a month ago my son was trying to contact me because a customer had brought in a 1903 and wanted some info on it. Was that you and your rifle?

Yes it is on the Long Beach peninsula, and the House we are moving into is owned outright by a cousin of ours. She used to rent it our to others when she was not there as a vacation rental. She is letting us rent it short term anyway (up to 6 months) as we look for something in the Bremerton Silverdale area.
My Daughter has a friend named Kaitlynn that lives on Terra Lane, her father drives bus for the school district.

I inherited mine from my uncle. Cost me a tank of gas and help rebuilding his Reloading bench so he could work at it again. County Line had a Sporterized '03 there a while back (6 months or so).

Mine looks pretty much like your 1942 except the Bolt Handle sweep is not as much And the front sight appears that you either have a sight protector on it or it is a different sight than mine. The Lower band on mine looks the lower band on you '03A3

We need to get together and compare rifles before you leave this area.

Yes, I have sight protectors on.
Looking at your bolt in your pictures I believe you have a straight handled bolt. Your bolt handle almost covers the rear stock bolt. I have included a picture of a rifle with a straight handled bolt:

We have determined that the bolt body is more than likely not original to the rifle. It does have a very slight rearward sweep, but not as much as some I have seen pictures of. The only other part I am sure is not original to the rifle is the follower as it is stamped with a Winchester W Making it from an M1917.
