    Quite a few in that number range came from India. If the other number on the butt is 1808 then I think I rebuilt 1810 ages ago but the record isn't quite clear.

    It currently has scope serial No. 14603. and bracket #AV3523

    Just looking at rayg,s post and 14603 started ringing a few bells,

    Have 14602 also 3458, 8617 and 22085 which has a mismatch tin which belongs to rifle D36687 also the original scope No,s in tin 14233 or 17471

    No.4 MK. I (T) BSA 1943 serial number AP5783 looking for No. 32 MK. I scope 1872 in bracket AP5783.

    I purchased the rifle out of Pennsylvania in 2015.
    Bracket and scope had appeared in Nebraska in 2014.

    With the able assistance of Brian Dickicon (BDLicon Ltd.) the owner of the scope/bracket/scope case was located in Nebraska. The rifle ended up going to Nebraska to be reunited with its optics.

    I have Rifle # X33535 and bracket # N36878. Looking for scope# 28314.

    Victory to report. I was contacted over on Gunboards by a third party to tell me that the scope I had on my rifle (# 24635) matches a rifle that was posted here in post #57.

    Arrangements to reunite the scope with the rifle are currently being worked out.
