Greetings, All!
Hello folks.....dyed-in-the-wool Yankee here- I grew up within 15 minutes of both Smith and Wesson and the ORIGINAL Springfield Armory here in MA. And, as I can't seem to locate employment out of the Commonwealth, I'm stuck without being able to own many of the weapons folks in other States can. I have my Garand, a number of 1911s and my SKS (pre ban, of course), so, I believe I'm well armed.
I'm also a third generation Military member- I'm a former E5 USAF Jet Mech, my Dad a Vietnam Combat vet, and my grandfather a Gunnery Sgt in the USMC. I had heard through the grapevine about this Forum, so, I figured I'd stop in. I'm NOT a huge Forums or Social Media person(I deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts moons ago), so, I'm curious to see what sort of members reside here.
SOOOOOO....Hi!

Hello guys,
I discovered this forum while researching a new MSI Mk2 Combat Knife I came across and decided to join.
I have been a long time member of the CMP Forum mostly related to the M1 Garand since I collect those and research the arsenal rebuilds of the 1960's.
Looking forward to learning more about that as well as other areas of MilSurp Collecting.

I'm always looking for new info about many different firearms & ammo. Wife and I have 2 AR15's (7.62x39mm), 1 Russian SKS, and 1 Chinese SKS. We have various other sporting rifles & pistols also. I'm a former Cop and soldier now living a life of leisure with our horses and other critters out in the country.

New and "Hi"....
Hello everyone.
I'm pretty new to forums so please bear with me as I learn my way around and try to use the site. I happened across this site looking for German acceptance code information and was pleased with what I've seen so I joined.
My main interest is collecting parts and accessories for my Vickers Turkish Contract MG (display gun). I am trying to gather items through it's life from "birth" into WWI in January 1918, (WWI British items) to it's final disposition in Turkey in WWII (British WWII, German WWI [Maxim] and Turkish items). I collect basically anything related - photos, books, field gear, ammo, parts, accessories, tools and aids, personal kit/gear, badges/pins, etc. I am willing to sell/trade any duplicate items as I gather them and try to get the best examples out there. I attached a photo of my "baby" with some of the items I've collected. I hope to display at re-enactments sometime in the near future.
I also collect Russian Mosin Nagant and Serbian/Yugoslavian riffles and accessories among other military items.
Another area of great interest for me is US WWII 42nd Infantry "Rainbow" Division, Specifically 222 Infantry Regiment that my dad was in. I do have a few paper records but his official records were destroyed in a massive fire in the US at the record keeping facility. I try to collect anything related to his being involved during that time - books, photos, pamphlets, patches, etc.
I may be able to contribute here already. In reading a posted document on the acceptance codes that I was researching I found that I may just have something that is missing in that document. So if I can find it again I'll be contacting that person to offer my information. It would be quite gratifying to be able to (hopefully) help someone else since I've gathered so much information from the internet for my own use over my last 5 collecting years.
I look forward to participating.
Thanks, Bob

I don't feel new!
Hi everyone. I'm 74, retired USMC, Retired Peace Officer, NRA Life member, TexasStateRifleAssoc. Life member and currently own over 100 guns, mostly old stuff.
I'm mostly into old military firearms, primarily Mausers, U.S. WWI-WWII and Rem. Rolling blocks.
