Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. I hope you were all good this past year and Santa brought you a new rifle or some shiny ammo or some fabulous accessories.
New and old Enfields are interesting. Many of the Civil war reenactors who have 1853 Enfields also like to shoot the 'new' Enfields in that newfangled .303 that you don't have to stuff down the barrel for each shot.
My newest Enfield is a 'mystery' No. 4 Mk. 1 I'll try to post its details in the forum and I hope someone recognizes something.
Happy New Year!

I am new here. Have been collecting mostly British
(Lee Enfields and Webleys) for a long time. I am semi retired, still do some gunsmithing, mostly stock work.
Looks like a great site

Hi Everyone
I'm new here but have been a rifle shooter for many years. Have a No4Mk1 and a Ross that I don't get out to the ranges as much as I'd like. Also interested in WWI history.

Hello everyone.
I'm actually new to the milsurp game - have focused more on AR's and Glock's. However, I have always liked the .303's, so I have decided to get into the Lee Enfield game. My god, there is a lot of information on these guns - however, finding a basic history and what the different Enfields are is quite confusing.
I have already sold off alot of my other gun stuff and have purchased 2 No4's - one is a Maltby and the other, well, not sure yet...haven't actually received either yet...will probably be asking questions in the near future

I am of New member to your group. Short Story for the membership. I am researching a rifle that has been in my family. My Grandfather was a WWII vet. From my childhood I was promised the rifle which I just found out today by joining your Group is a MKI No.4(T). I will not explain how or why my family used it for endless deer huntings in PA. I always freaked everytime it left on a hunting trip. I am wanting to add the right equipment on it to completely restore the rifle to its correct configuration. The cheek rest is missing, I need the scope, and the tool kits. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I happened to take it to the shooting range to BZ the frontsight. i need the frontsight post tool to bring it back to the left some. Other than that she is fully operational. All the wood is original and the hunting trips did not give her many scratches. Thanks for the website and the informational formums.

Hello everyone!
Hello, John from Texas here.... glad to become a member of your community. I love collecting mil-surps have been doing so with my dad since i could walk! I have many fine military rifles, a few are quite rare. If there is anyway that I can help anyone out please don't hesitate to let me know. I am no expert on any certain field, but am by no means an amateur either!

Greetings,
After lurking a little I thought I'd put my head up (gulp). Hi!
I'm from Newcastle ,NSW,Australia
and I'm led to Milsurp by an interest in history and militaria in general.
Of late I am leaning towards buying a decent Mauser ( Kar 98, M48/48a or Israeli) for range work.
Where in this Great Sunburned Land should I look for a good honest deal? Any suggestions welcome.
Can anyone explain why Mojo (Peep Sights by MOJO Sighting Systems) is not prepared/able to export to international addresses? I've written them but no reply to date.
Thanks for the informative fora and wide ranging selection of weapons displayed.
Kais.
