I looked at this rifle in my LGS. Barrel was shortened to 22", Fajen stock.. Tasco scope, 4 holes drilled in left side of receiver for scope mount. But it did have the chrysanthemum untouched on top of the receiver. Priced at 200.00. Is it worth it? No I don't have any pictures at this time.

I'd have to say no.
$100 more and you can find one in military issue condition.
Might be a neat "fun gun" for about $125.

Arisakas are definitely one of rifles that the parts always cost more than buying an entire gun

As other have stated a complete unmessed with rifle is not much more. I would take a pass....

Really depends what you want it for. Collecting, not a chance. Restoring, not a chance. Hunting, really depends what they did to it. I've seen some very nice sporterized Arisakas and if I needed a good hunting rifle, one of the nice ones might be worth that. The vast majority however are in the $100 range and I wouldn't pay that much for one.
