British contract AR-15 info need

I'm looking for details of British AR-15, which were used in Borneo and Malaya. I need info about date and quantity

It's a shame you didn't ask about 4 months ago because the person responsible for the trials at the Jungle Warfare School in Johore Bahru and ordering them (2,500 if I remember correctly) plus the spares was Warrant Officer Maurice Fogwell. He died about 3 months ago.

The British, Australians and NZ'ers used them in action in Malaya and Borneo. I was there at the time and trained on them. The first ones we had were basic AR15's which we modified slightly (flash eliminators......) anf then got our first M-16's in about April/May 1969.

We have a couple of UK spec AR15's and M16's. What do you want to know?
