Type 38 Questions
I just came across an old Type 38 (I Think, based off what I have found here) and wanted to find out more about it and an approximate value for it. It seems there are a number of different versions of this gun.
What I Know so far----
1. Numbers on the bolt match
2. Grinded Mum
3. Type 38 - No Series??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Pictures would be very helpful, as the value can vary widely depending on details. Are you trying to buy it or sell it?

Selling. My business partner inherited this gun after his father passed and he wants to sell it. I know guns, but this thing has me stumped. Thanks for any info you guys may have.

The series mark (if any) is on the receiver just fwd of the S/N.
Unfortunately, this rifle was "sporterized" or "Bubba'd" by cutting off the fore stock post WWII, so collector value is minimal- probably US$40-90.

$75 to $100 would be a good price. Complete bolt is worth $75, screws $10 each, floor plate $15, follower $10, spring $10. riceone
