Finnish M/39 Sling
Have seen several different type slings that are advertised as correct for this rifle. One is all leather, brown in color with a SA marking in a box and a more rounded buckle. Others are leather died green with a square buckle, and a third that is canvas with leather ends. Are all three correct for this rifle?
My guess, the brown round buckle SA marked sling is the earliest of the three initially used for earlier versions of Finnish rifles, with possible carry over to the 39. Followed by the green leather with square buckle, and finally the canvas with leather ends. It would not appear unusal then that any one of the three could be correct and possibly used on the model 39. Other opinions are welcomed.

My 1942 VKT barreled M-39 sports the green square buckled sling. Can't be absolutely sure but I do believe it to be the original sling. So I assume the green sling to be used on 1942 era rifles.
