OK, I'll dive right on in. LOL!
I just bought my Lee Enfield No.1 Mk III about two days ago. Fairly sure it is a .303, but it's going to the gunsmith sometime next week to be sure.
I plan to start doing detail (macro) photography based on my milsurps very soon, and the Enfield got to test out a new light last night. So if you want to see the very rough cut before I do a professional set, this link should take you in to see about 32 extreme close ups: Detail: British/Indian Lee Enfield No.1 Mk III album | WolfBard | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy.

Earlier today, I had picked up a Finnish M27 Mosin Nagant built at Tikka in 1928. This one has the post 1935 nose cap modifications and a D chamber. This one does have the winged bolt. I was surprised that both sides of the rear sight are in meters rather than one side in meters and the other side in arshins. One thing I am glad that she still has the old Imperial Eagle intact. My other three finns had the eagle ground off.
