IHC on Gun Broker
I'd like some advice fron the experts. I am considering bidding on this rifle and would like opinions from the experts as to its originality and correctness. Also a reasonable price range. I am aware of the fakes and parts guns out there. Just need some expert advice.

But, I see some problems. Note he says the stock is "an" original IHC, not "the" original IHC stock. This appears to be a restoration. And, it appears that the stock has been sanded. The seller KNOWS that a pristine IHC stock will show spiral milling marks, which I don't see on this one.
Not sure of the "correct" price, but this is not a top dollar item.

I have purchased many things Garand from Wayne.
You only need to worry about the price and whether you want it or not. You need have NO concerns about the legitimacy of the rifle and the components.

No where is the rifle referred to or described as "pristine" so why would a "pristine" IHC stock be required on it? Therefore the sanding marks of a "pristine" IHC stock have been worn off and would not be expected. It doesn't take much handling to do so. Interpret the description for what is stated. He's not saying the stock is "the" stock that originally came with it, he doesn't know, but the stock is correct for what it should be. It's a nice IHC.

Wayne is not only Garand-knowledgeable but also a "user-friendly" person. Ask him anything about the rifle and he will give you a candid honest answer. Wayne is not one to be fooled nor is one to fool others. My interaction with him has been positive. He's ok!

I've dealt with him for years, never a problem at all. Also a great example of how to post on GB. Clear sharp pictures, detailed information etc.
