    1897 sling suggestions

I would like to sling my 1897 without heatshield, but was looking for suggestions. Was thinking maybe a barrel band 2-3" past end of mag tube ??? I don't want to hang anything off the mag tube, had thought about having existing mag band screw drilled and tapped, but they're pretty small.

Didn't they make a band clamp that went around the bbl about three quarters of the distance? I'm sure I saw those on riot guns???
