A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I have one of those mounts. It is a commercial mount, apparently from a company in Aussieland. Been meaning to mount it on a sporterized No1MkIII and use a Weaver K3 on it. Congrats on the scope purchase.

The mount is a Parker Hale "Continental", or a close copy.

Ah! I made that mistake too. Looking at it again I see that the seller was expecting 1500 pounds for it & received one offer of 800 which he declined. I know genuine sniping equipment always attracts a premium but to put it politely I don't think there's much danger of him making a sale if he's hanging out for 1500. Even with its original dovetail mount that price would be a bit OTT, at least, IMHO.

The listing has ended so guess he may have got an offer outside ebay, or maybe split the scope and mount..... unless someone here bought it ?
