C96 Bolo Firing Pin Protrusion Question
Good Evening All!
I just picked up my first C96, a Bolo. It was advertised as a parts gun, re-barreled, and a good shooter. I disassembled and found it was not matched - no big deal to me, but as I looked at it I couldn't figure out if it would fire. It doesn't appear to me the firing pin will protrude enough to strike the primer. Ammo is a bear, so it will be a while before I can test fire it. Can anyone explain how to bench test firing pin protrusion on these? Unless it works by inertia I can't see how it would ever fire. Thanks!

Okay all. I finally found some info on it and figured out it is an inertial firing pin. Just as an FYI, a found a pencil fits perfectly down the bore. I put it down the bore, eraser end to the bolt face, pulled the trigger - out flew the pencil. So I was able to figure out it was protruding, now just need some ammo to make sure it is enough and will set off a primer.
