    H&R M1 Garand Value

    Hi,

I have a CMPicon collector grade, H&R M1icon Garand. I believe that it was made in 1954. I am looking for an approximate value.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. That's easy, go to the CMP Sales webpage ... Rifle Sales - M1 Garand
If your rifle is as stated here... then their prices start at $1595.00
I guess it depends on a lot of other factors, and do you have the CMP certificate that came with the rifle when it was purchased from there? it makes a difference to most folks, but you can research the individual parts "drawing numbers and such too" and your serial number etc, at places like this one: M1 Garand Born on Date

Just depends on so many things, but these are places to start looking...
