Looks like a Belgian proof mark.

That is certainly the Liege proof mark. Check the barrel lengths. If the shorter one is about 0.6" shorter, then my guess is an FN replacement barrel for the Brazilian Model 1894 rifle (basically the same as the 1893 Spanish). See Ball "Mauser Military Rifles of the World" , table "Production Data for Mauser.....by FN."

maybe so, but one would think that the replacement barrel would fit in the stock, it does not>> not even close
now the seller will not accept email

However there seems to be some discrepancy on the additional barrel, it is not a replacement barrel for a Brazilian m954 Mauser
the dimensions are different , it is wider and simply is not the same, I have no idea what it is for, seems to be in good conditions, but it can not, repeat, can not simply go on the action, for one thing the stock would not go back on, and that is just for starters, total dimensions are different in width and length
please advise
