He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. The first picture reminded me when I worked across from DuPage County Airport in the early 70's. I rode my bike over to look at planes during lunch and one day inspected a P-51 that had been recently flown in, it was all decked out with markings for the Costa Rica Air Force!

In 1988 I was on a senior leadership course in Borden Ontario Canadaicon. I was on course with all types and trades and long and short timers. Two men, Airforce pals from 30 plus years, and I were talking about stuff. One turned to the other and said" Do you remember the two P51's we had in Trenton(Ontario) in the hanger"? The other did. He said they had been inspected and signed over to two pilots fron central America, who flew them away never to return. I wonder if this was some of this we now see? I think he was talking about 1958 or just before...
    Regards, Jim
