SAMCO GLOBAL ARMS / FIREARMS - Stampler Auctions
Kind of sad. Lots of interesting stuff. I hope we see this hoard again.

I think we will see a large offering of the inventory on the market after the auction. Hopefully in the hands of honest (descprition, etc) sellers.
Hopefully some of the smaller company's involved in early arms will be successful in their bids.
Wonder why one could have that much inventory and not be able to turn it? Is the "gray" market for antique/early arms that small?

Personally think the market for many older milsurps is pretty small compared to the current market where most want a "black rifle". Love old milsurps however am in the minority overall IMHO.
Huge inventory in the pictures and even though the unit cost would be fairly low the cost of operating a business is high and turnover obviously didn't meet the costs involved. Sad.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

There was obviously something wrong with the management and their marketing strategy. In the end it will be better for all of us; a better managed company like Sarco, Numrich, etc will end up with the inventory and sell it back to us.
