Andy yours is very close to mine (1426587). Mine has an "I" cut stock. I'm not sure if it is correct but all the information that has been presented to me says it is. Yours is so nice and having the look of a match, it would be difficult not to think it is right. Very nice again.

Bill...I bet there was overlapping..LIFO..my cartouche is early...I wished for a type 1 stock, but I'm happy with this one..Is your stock Marlin too?

Andy, here is a photobucket layout of mine. Please keep in mind that mine is a restoration. It had a lot of the correct parts when I got 20 plus years ago but I changed a lot also. I replaced the stock, handguard, trigger housing, rear sight, hammer and hammer spring. Mine looks like it has all the same parts as yours so I'm happy I did it up right. My reciever, slide and bolt have the original finish and it looks exactly like your finish. The trigger housing is cast and looks like it has been blasted and refinished but it is very close in color to the original. The flaming bomb on the heal is very light but there. I'm missing the spring loaded take down pin.
I would like your opinion please.

Bill, I think your stock is too early for your receiver, however its a different maker [Rock-ola] as well, if indeed its an Underwood type 1, its for an earlier carbine, my info shows type 2 beginning at 1,380,000, and not RMC coded.
My hammer is blued too...once the word "restoration" is used...I get scared...otherwise it looks very nice...
