I have rebuilt 2 blow ups with GI receivers - of course it was not as dramatic as this one, all we reloading errors - one I did not rebuild had a bent op-rod cracked bolt lugs bent trigger housing - major parts scrap. the other 2 passed dimensional checks and magna flux check. I suspect that this is not a GI receiver

I agree about not using these parts. A catastrophic failure will have damaging effects on small parts. Not up to me but I wouldn't.

Hope they are ok boy oh boy the ol' reloader not paying attention will do it every time and don't worry folks I have not had as spectacular rifle destroying results as that but did crack the bolt on one rifle!
