ID of a cleaning rod.
Going through some items and I found a cleaning rod. At first I thought it was for a 8mm.
Closer looking shows a concave spot on the tip of the rod where the cleaning patches are inserted.
I believe that means it is for a BP rifle as a bullet starter also. No markings on this 32 1/2 inch rod except for a very tiny mark that has a Maltese Coss over what looks like a stylised V. Could that be a Swiss marking?
No time for images tonight but maybe we can find out with just the above. It also is threaded on the bottom of the rod

I found out what it went to as it looked familar. Fits the Model 78 Swiss Viterilli ( spelling!)
I looked at the rifle I had and the rod is the same to the one on the Swiss Bern
