Stripper clips?
The second and fourth round move around with the clips I have for my Swede and some times will jam up when pushing them in. The clips I've seen for the 1903 look like they address this problem but I don't know if there is a difference so the question I have is
Stripper clips brass, steel or don't matter?

I've used both they all work. There is technique best learned by practice. I believe the brass were specifically made to be reloaded in training. Some steel seem to be a bit high friction. Gets easier with repeated use. Some have little tabs to help retain the cartridges. The tabs eventually break off. Can allow rounds to exit the clip in pocket or bandoleer. I hunt with a M1903 and carry a reload on stripper clip. Learned to use them while practicing with a DCM club in the '90's
