ID this stock please.

I bought this stock so that I could replace the butt plate on my Plainfield. I thought it would fit as both stocks have two screws. Plainfield plastic butt plate would not fit or vice versa.

It was used at one time by the gas marks on the inside. Has to be post war.

Maybe just a replacement pot belly birch that someone ruined with sanding, varnish and a rubber buttplate?

Looks like a commercial stock to me. Probably a Universal or one of the other makers.

The wood looks like an 3rd generation universal I have, but the buttplate on mine is interchangeable with a USGI (it did not come with a USGI). What are the interior measurements of the stock well?

Looks like Iver Johnson, They also made full auto for law enforcement use.

I had an Iver Johnson that had an identical stock with the rubber butt plate just like that. It was a type V with an M2 cut, even though it was a semi auto.
