Age and value of Webley Mark IV .455?

    Hello all,

I was going through my late father's gun safe and found a Webley Mark IV that he had picked up a few years ago.

I'm not familiar with these pistols beyond what I have read on the internet, and was wondering if I could get some advice on the age of the pistol. I'd also like to get an idea of the value as he had originally traded some leather work for the gun.

So, here it is in the pics below. It does not appear to be converted to .45 ACP, and as you can see, a previous owner stippled the frame with their initials and decorated the cylinder a bit too.

Thanks for taking a look at this and I do appreciate the help.

    Mr. Simmons,

Thank you very much for such a quick response.

Do you know if the RHA is an English, or Canadianicon unit?

Also, I believe that the date is 1913, although my photography skill does not show this.

Is there any way to determine a value on the pistol based on this info?

    Thank you,
    Gavin

IIRC I saw one at a fun show for around $600 but with the "customizing" you could expect less the half that IMO.

Yes, "customizing" something in this way is rarely an added value.

All the internals look good, the cylinder locks up well and rifling is good. I've got a few boxes of factory loaded ammunition for it, so I think I may just hold on to it for the time being.

Thank you both for the information, it is appreciated.
