Faz No. 4 Mk 1?

Picked up this rifle at a pawn shop this week. There is no manufacturers marking anywhere on the rifle and the butt socket is stamped with the serial number 20051 and under that the number 41. On top of the receiver is a star with a W inside the star.

I am assuming that this rifle was made at Fazakerly because their serial number range started at 20000. If so, would this be the 51st rifle they produced?

Funnily enough, I bumped into a similar rifle today, with the following marking on the buttsocket:

ROF
1941
2****A

The rifle was missing the front hand guard and the front sight protector, but the rest didn't look in too bad condition. The bolt head was a No.4, but these rifles had a rough life. The rear sight was a Mk.2. I could not find anything that would make me think the rifle had undergone any major FTR program. I think I can talk the guy down to $150, and it would be a relatively easy job to find the missing parts.

That same "W" mark is on my 1941 Long Branch. I would love to know precisely what it means.

Is it the Weedon Repaired sandard mark? I thought that star had 6 points though

Now that's just weird. Bren's and Amatikulu's rifles are exactly 1000 apart!

Neither "A" suffixed. Does either one have the charger brige welded in place?

I could not tell if the charger bridge was welded or not. I must admit to have been a little distracted as I had just undergone a surgical procedure and was in some discomfort. If I go back, then I will double check.
