Lack of codes, and very early F model Forts, and the fact we get a quick shot of one of the Forts, named as Birmingham Blitzkrieg, and I would say this film was made at RAF Polebrook, with the 97th BG, for the USAAF's first ever raid over occupied Europe. This raid #1 took place on 17th Aug 1942, and Birmingham Blitzkrieg was one of the B-17's that flew this first ever mission to Rouen in France. The lead ship of this mission #1 was a B-17 named Butcher Shop, being flown by a certain Major Paul Tibbets.
Birmingham Blitzkrieg was transferred to 92BG at RAF Bovingdon a week later on 24th Aug, so clearly pointing to this film being made at Polebrook around the time of Mission #1.
