Yes the late NPMs had a lot of IBM barrels.
A couple pics of the barrel between the front sight and barrel band will tell whether or not the barrel has the right proof marks.

    RCS,
NPM serial number 4,245,7xx was probably made in Jan/Feb 1944 (?).
Do I understand correctly that the IBM barrel has NO DATE STAMPED?
IBM quit dating their barrels as of 12-43.
The way I understand it, It may or may not have a P proof mark stamped on the barrel. If it was used by NPM it would have the PUNCH MARK on it, known to show that NPM used and proof fired the barrel.
If Punch Marked..... more than likely the original barrel. Or at least the correct one if it's been replaced.

Here's a link to some questions I was asking to help identify a correctly marked barrel used by NPM. I was getting ready to look at a NPM for sale.
Thanks to the help from fellow members replies, I was able to see that the NPM with a No date Marlin barrel ( NO P stamp) had a punch mark under the Bayo band. I'd of bought BrianQ breakfast had he been around as soon as I seen that Punch Mark. That one came home with me !

Member.... MPD1978 was kind enough to post some pictures of 2 IBM and 1 (dated) Buffalo Arms barrel showing the P proof stamp and the NPM Punch mark.

P.S. That would be TRIMBLE over TN........ Unless it's a typo.
Also I think that IN hammer would have been a Inland part.... A Riesch error, so I've heard.

Does anyone else have any info on the use of IN hammer's in NPM'S? I have now seen a couple of them advertising IN hammer's on Gunbroker. And now, add this one!

    IBM CORP barrel making

the barrel on the 4.245xxx has only the IBM CORP stamp, then about 5 3/4 inches from the muzzle is a very small P than another 1/4 inch is a deep punch mark - these markings are on top of the barrel

    RCS,
Sounds like it's good to go.
Post more pictures if you get a chance.
Would love to see more of that one.

    Cheers,
