Rather interesting that he picked one of the more rare WWII weapons for the picture. He must have used an actual photo as a model. Not much about that picture I like - the Marine looks more like a body builder and he's way too clean. Anyone surprised he didn't get any bids at that price?

I am partial to Reisings. When I retire to my retirement home near Coos Bay, Oregon, I hope to be rich enough to get two legal full autos: A Reising and an M2 Carbine
First, of course, would be the M2 carbine. I've fired M2s, and actually like them. If you have good recoil spring, GI mags, with good springs installed the correct way, an M2 mag catch, good ammo, and using good fire control (3-4 round bursts), I found the M2 more accurate than my MP5 was!
Second one, believe it or not, a Reising! I think the Reising has a certain ugly-retro charm... Also it is cheaper than Thompsons and M3 grease guns!!!!

I drove the coast of Oregon two summers ago and thought it was on my list of retirement places too. Checking, Coos Bay has one of the highest suicide rates. Something to do with depression from too many foggy/overcast days. That took it off my list.

Cpquille. Oregon is 19 miles inland (I like that, INLAND) from Bandon and Coos Bay. Different weather pattern, less rain and fog, and warmer temperatures. We did LOTS of research. SPerlings.com gives Coquille an 89 out of a possible 100. Jerseyville, IL and Southaven MS are both 44/100. It covers weather, crime, housing,a nd services. It was also one of the top 10 small towns to move to in one poll several years ago.
It is what the small coastal towns of Northern California were 40 years ago.
