What distinguishes a "bullnose" handguard?

Bullnose hand guards were made by Winchester and found only in the early deep sighting groove Type I.
When looking at the side profile of the front, you'll see that a Bull nose has no taper or curve coming down from the forward top end.
Riesch shows a picture of one in the 5th edition on page 135.

Mine also does not have a "w" stamp - it has two partial numbers. Sorry, at work, but will try and post a picture later.

Do all handguards fit perfectly? Mine is not exactly even on both sides. thanks
