Wish I could help John, I was offered one a few years ago but turned it down...... must admit any black powder revolver is fun to shoot, I just don't shoot mine enough..... I've tended to use my West lake conversion LBR instead. Two links below, one of the Taurus and one of the Victorian wars Forum, if you scroll down on this there is some info on the Beaumont adams revolver.

black powder revolvers and light smokeless
I use two Uberti Colt revovers, one is a 1851 and the other is an 1861, both of these revolvers were converted by me to use the 38 S&W cartridge with new cylinders. I use revolvers that were found incomplete and missing parts as the alterations would be difficult to change back. Some work is require to make the recoil shield, loading gate and ejector rod housings plus the mainspring must be lighter.
Both blackpower and light loadings of Unique are used with hollow base bullets
The S&W Russian is from Uberti and in 44 Russian calAttachment 77023Attachment 77024Attachment 77025

Cheers guys,
Interesting threads Geoff, I have been thinking along the lines of a Westlake build revolver for a while now. I haven't payed much attention to pistols since the ban to be honest.
I thought I might as well try and put them out of my mind, but a local range I have access to is just perfect for handgun ... Now that re-started the long dormant handgun interest in my brain, this, coupled with an opportunity to shoot some beautiful original classics a while back (Colt Navy/Army and NMA) has fired me up and inspired me to get something slightly different and thoroughly British .. The granddaddy of the British service revolver "Man stoppers", the .442 Beumont Adams!
Just started to seriously research the Beaumont Adams and will look for a Military issue example in good serviceable condition so it can go on my FAC.
I just need to get the Pith Helmet, grow a fine pair of Lamb chops and pop in a monocle (eye safety first with BP) and I will be ready to experience some fine Victorian style shooting!
